25 facts about Shantel

1. Firstly, my name is Shantel and this is Urban Dictionary's definition of me: A Shantel is a girl that dances non-stop, has a great personality and is extremely fun to be around.
2. Born in Taiwan, raised in Australia. December baby and I'm the youngest among all of my friends.
3. As a contrast, I'm 177cm tall and tower over most of my friends. Everyone's first impression of me is that tall girl.
4. My nicknames are shantelly, telly, shanny, tubby. I have no idea where they come from, but I like them. Whenever I get coffee, they always spell my name wrong.
5. I have an extremely sweet tooth, so if you have chocolate and/or icecream, expect me at your door very soon.
6. I adore hugs, if you hug me, we are friends by default. This also applies if you are in possession of chocolate.
7. I am a high-five enthusiast. I will hi-five you because of the littlest things.
8. I am blessed with an incredible group of friends, B Blockers, and I love them to the moon and back.
9. I have 4 piercings because I'm reckless like that. One morning, I just got up and decided I wanted a helix piercing so I got one. Spontaneity is the definition of me.
10. If I had to describe myself in three words, it would be loyal, independent and honest.
11. Some of my favourite bands are Coldplay, Phoenix, Jungle Giants, Last Dinosaurs, Cub Scouts, Simple Plan, Green Day and Paramore.
12. One late afternoon, I had a stroke of genius and texted Joanne 'WE NEED TO MAKE A BLOG TOGETHER.' So here we are. Joanne + Shantelly = Jotelly. Like, totally.
13. I sing an awful lot for somebody who can't.
14. I play the piano and violin. 10/10 Asian, I know.
15. I have a cactus, his name is Noah. He sits on my window sill all day, and I'm in love with him. I also have two pillow pets, Jeremy the Giraffe and Mia the Unicorn.
16. I would like to visit Europe, places like Germany, France and UK.
17. I dance around my room alot, and if anyone ever witnesses it, they might be a little afraid.
18. My favourite colour is purple.
19. I play volleyball for school. Playing with such an incredible team is what gets me out of bed every Wednesday morning.
20. My favourite TV shows are The Walking Dead, How I Met Your Mother and Adventure Time.
21. I love it when people pat me on the head. Nobody ever pats me on my head because I'm tall, so if you do, I will like you alot.

25 Facts about Joanne

One of my favourite people in the world <3 

1. Hey! My name is called Joanne, firstly because my chinese name is Chieh-An, and one day my cousin came over and was like Chieh-an, chieh-an, jieh an, joa an, JOANNE! My name means "God is Gracious", which I found out when my childhood bestie Crystal gifted me a key ring with my name and meaning on it :)
2. I was born in Taiwan a nasty surprise as the doctors told my mum I was actually going to be a boy when I was still in my mother's uterus. (Sorry for the bad grammar). Anyways, my mum was pretty disappointed and my auntie had to buy my mum strawberries to cheer her up!
3. I am 163cm tall, but generally considered tall in my group as everyone else can't even get on the rides at Dreamworld. 
4. My nicknames are MoJoJo, JoJo, Joanneyy cakes and......... no one spells my name wrong when I buy coffee because I don't buy coffee.
5. Ice-cream and anything frozen is my life. I have a job at NZ Natural, where I work 6 hours a week, get paid $11 an hour talking to Coco and scoffing caramel crumbles. 
6. It's pretty impossible to hug me without me kissing you. Unless you are a guy, which in that case, I kiss myself.
7. I giggle and dance around on the spot when I get excited about the smallest things, and will generally run around till someone gets excited with me!
8. One of the few times in life where I like to sit back and just grin stupidly and realize how blessed I am is when I'm out with the B Blockers, in a cafe, or restaurant  or sitting on some grass, and just staring at how beautiful everyone is. 
9. The most reckless and rebel thing I've ever done was walk in the night markets in Taiwan and spontaneously decided to get piercings even though my parents had forbade me too. #imcoolerthanyouthinkiam
10. If I had to describe myself in three words: fearfully, wonderfully made. 
11. My all time favourite artist is Brooke Fraser, who changed my life with her song "Love Is Waiting."
12. Shantel is one of the most spontaneous people I know so this fact will be spontaneous too. Potato.
13. I sing in the shower, in the rain, in bed, in class, during lunchtimes, during exams, during toilet runs, during tuckie runs, I JUST SING ALL THE TIME.
14. I've played the piano ever since I could remember, but stopped after Grade 8 when I decided piano was too mainstream. I attempted playing the flute but felt dizzy afterwards, and now I've learnt to play the guitar and ukulele! 
15. I have a cactus named Telly, because whenever I look at her I think of Shantel <3 I also have two pillow pets, one called Taylor, and one Charlie.
16. I have never had a specific place where I would like to travel or visit; I've just always felt the destination doesnt really matter, only the people you spend it with.
17. I crump in front of my bathroom mirror, which means it takes around 20 minutes for me to brush my teeth.
18. My favourite colour is blue and purple and pink and sparkles.
19. I've played netball since I was 10, when I was a skinny kid with glasses, and started playing badminton in high school when I found a partner to do all the work while I stand at the front and hit the little shots, and get out of the way when she wants to do slams.
20. I don't really like watching television because I just get bored. 
21. One of my favourite pastimes that I definitely do not do enough is sneak out the house after midnight, sit on my doorstep, listen to Brooke Fraser crooning in my ear, in awe at the beautiful moon and stars while pondering and deciphering anything and everything. 
22. One of my flaws is that I say different stuff to different people in accordance to what I think they would like to hear, in order for people to like me. 
23. On the other hand, one of the things I like about myself is that I am a pretty open person, I don't get shy easily and quite confident around strangers!
24. Being witty is my thing. I love metaphors, puns, alliterations etc etc.
25. If you haven't noticed already, I copied all my facts from Shantel because I lack creativity.
